Progressive and Affirming of all of God's creation!
Our Vision
Led by the Holy Spirit, we affirm God's love by growing spiritually, pursuing justice and caring compassionately for all! Our Statement of Faith
We believe God's grace is available to all through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We envision ourselves as a community of believers, inspired by the Holy Spirit, united by faith and enriched by diversity in our shared spiritual journey. Nurturing each other in this joyful family of faith, we will strive to love and worship God, to honor all people as children of God, to respect all creation as the handiwork of God, and to live as just and peaceable citizens in the world. Lee McDermott who cites: "We need to change the conversation…. from one that condemns, to a conversation that offers hope;. from one that punishes, to a conversation that holds people accountable with compassion and grace; from one that shames, to a conversation that offers forgiveness and redemption.; from one that blames, to a conversation where we all recognize we had a role in why the world is the way it is, not to scapegoat other segments of our society." Topics to be discussed include: “How to talk about addiction in the sanctuary and in other church conversations.” “Recognizing the Humanity within those who suffer from drug misuse disorder.” A local Panel, will be present sharing their personal and professional stories concerning the opiate crisis.
